Bilyara – Manifesto

Bilyara is a Wiradjuri word meaning “Eaglehawk,” chosen as an author pseudonym to evoke the clarity, altitude, and foresight that underpin this body of speculative fiction. It signals a writer who looks beyond the surface of events, tracking the hidden currents of power, data, and consciousness.

Here, digital sovereignty is not just a policy buzzword but a lived condition: the capacity—individual and collective—to control core digital infrastructure, data assets, and critical technologies, while minimising dependence on opaque platforms and external actors.
